2011 Competition Results

The Best of the Bay Wine Competition is a regional competition open to all wineries located in nine San Francisco Bay Area Counties.  (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Solano counties).

Our Zinfandel Challenge is OPEN to ALL US wineries producing Zinfandel. Check out www.Zinchallenge.com for more information on that competition.


The Best of the Bay Wine Competition is  produced by the Alameda County Fair under the direction of Gerald D. Boyd, Chairman of Commercial Wine Judging. Wines will be judged May 21st- 22nd  2012 at the fairgrounds.  Three judging panels comprising of three judges that are carefully selected wine industry professionals - such as restaurant Sommaliers, Winemakers, or seasoned Wine Competition Judges - will award Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals to the top wines entered into 35 catagories.
